Court system related issues to be discussed during parliamentary majority meeting
The court system related issues will be discussed during the meeting of the parliamentary majority today – Archil Talakvadze, Leader of the Parliamentary Majority said.
“Discussions during today’s meeting will not be focused about the criteria for selection of judicial candidates for Supreme Court of Georgia but the process in general, as well as the regulation mechanism based on which selection of judicial candidates, their presentation and approval in the parliament will take place,” Talakvadze stated.
According to the Leader of Parliamentary Majority, balloting will be held in case of each candidate individually.
The meeting of the parliamentary majority is underway at the central office of the ruling “Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia” Party. Chairman of the party Bidzina Ivanishvili is also attending the sitting.
