Tbilisi Court of Appeals declared the application of the UNM Chair’s lawyers inadmissible on Thursday.
The lawyers lodged a complaint against the Tbilisi City Court ruling and demanded the arrest ruling be abolished. Court of Appeals ruling to change the measure of restraint does not fall under appeal.
Earlier in February, Tbilisi City Court ruled imprisonment for the opposition United National Movement (UNM) Chair, Nika Melia.
The riot police detained Melia at the party’s headquarters on Tuesday morning.
