“The Commission of the Kotsis (Georgian Dream supporters) does not mention some super-power politicians of the previous government. Shut up or I will speak up,” wrote Nika Gvaramia, leader of the Coalition for Change on Facebook.

Nika Gvaramia called on the commission members to stop the “shameful delusion that a jail is a resort.”

“Nobody is stupid and we see what is happening. My case is understandable but what about Japara’s (Zurab Japaridze) and Nika Melia’s summoning to the commission meeting, one already arrested and the other waiting for his arrest, when they were not in politics at all that time?

Meanwhile, we see that the Commission of the Kotsis keeps silent and does not mention some super-power politicians of the previous government. Shut up or I will speak up,” he said.

On May 22, Zurab Japaridze, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, had his bail conditions replaced with imprisonment as a preventive measure.

This decision was made by Judge Irakli Shvangiradze of Tbilisi City Court. Japaridze was detained directly in the courtroom during the hearing.
