Coalition for Change's Melia justifies actions against Ivanishvili's Soviet-era regime

“Ivanishvili’s regime is facing international isolation, and the European Parliament’s resolution is neither the first nor the last,” stated Nika Melia, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change.

According to Melia, the international community does not recognize Ivanishvili’s government or the results of the recent parliamentary elections.

Commenting on the potential suspension of visa liberalization, Melia asserted, “Everything was justified.”

“All actions aimed at dismantling Ivanishvili’s Soviet-era regime are justified. You should consult our Western partners regarding the decisions they will make,” he added.

On November 25, the European Parliament registered a motion for a resolution addressing Georgia’s deepening democratic crisis following the recent parliamentary elections and alleged electoral fraud.
