Civil Aviation Agency says Russian-based Rossiya Airlines was rejected twice to operate in Georgia
Georgian Civil Aviation Agency on Thursday echoed the media reports alleging that the Russian-based Rossiya Airlines would start operating in Georgia.
The agency rebuffed the claim deeming it “unverified” and noted that it had rejected the airline’s application to operate in Georgia twice, on May 16 and on September 14.
“The Agency will not allow flights from the Rossiya Airlines as it is on the EU black list.
We would like to elucidate once again that flights between Georgia and Russia are performed and will be performed in the future only by airlines that are not on the EU blacklist,” the agency added.
