Civil Aviation Agency restricts Belavia flights by Boeing-type planes
Georgian Civil Aviation Agency said it restricted the operation of Boeing-type planes belonging to the Belarus Airlines – Belavia from June but will permit flights by Embraer jets.
The Agency clarified that it studies the sanctions imposed on the airline and would react correspondently.
“The Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, taking into account the safety of passengers and flights, constantly monitors the sanctions and restrictions imposed by the international organizations,” it said.
The Agency also said it and other state agencies would further study the sanctions imposed on Belavia Airlines by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Department of the Treasury and react accordingly.
