Civil activists gathered at Tbilisi City Hall and urged the public sector for taking effective measures with respect to environment protection.
According to the representatives of the Young Greens Movement, Georgia joined the protests launched all over the world against the crisis caused by climate change. Civil activists call on world leaders to say no to oil-producing companies and invest in renovation energies.
Young Greens urged the Georgian government to stop construction of hydro-eclectic power stations and develop the municipal transport with use of trams in Tbilisi.
Representatives of the movement also protested against the construction of Batumi Riviera, a new residential-led, mixed-use development.
