City Hall to temporarily restrict traffic during nighttime on Rustaveli Avenue due to installation of New Year’s lights
In preparation for the installation of the New Year’s illuminations, traffic on Rustaveli Avenue, from First Republic Square to Freedom Square, will be temporarily restricted on November 27 and 28 from midnight to 6 a.m., the Tbilisi City Hall announced.
Tbilisi City Hall issued an official notice for drivers regarding modified routes, saying motorcars will be able to move at both squares but not across the avenue.
Drivers will be redirected to adjacent Leonidze, Ingorokva, Aleksandre Chavchavadze, Griboedov, Baratashvili and Tabukashvili Streets.
From Melikishvili Avenue, movement will be allowed through Janashia, Tarkhnishvili, Tatishvili, Chovelidze, Zandukeli, Gogebashvili and Kakabadzes Streets.
Motocars will access Rustaveli metro station from Makashvili, Barnovi and Shanidze streets. They will continue to move by turning at the Olive Tree toward Mikheil Javakhishvili Street and the Right Riverbank of the Mtkvari.
