Christmas liturgy being held at Protestant and Catholic churches in Batumi

Christmas liturgy is being held in the Holy Trinity Protestant Church in Batumi. Pastor Varlam Ramishvili spoke about the significance of Christmas. He said Christmas is a divine mystery, the essence of which has not been fully understood yet.
Protestants begin preparing for Christmas a month before, lighting a new candle with different symbolic meanings each week.
The Protestant Church has been operating in Batumi since 1995. According to various sources, the first Protestants appeared in Batumi in the late 19th century.
Christmas is celebrated at Batumi Catholic Cathedral as well.
