Chief of Italian Defense Staff paying official visit to Georgia

Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, an Italian naval officer, currently serving as Chief of the Defense Staff is paying an official visit to Georgia.

Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Chikovani hosted the guest and thanked him for support of Georgia’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic integration aspirations.

The Minister accentuated Italy’s role in boosting Georgia’s defense capabilities. Georgian and Italian colleagues spoke about ongoing cooperation issues, participation in multinational military drills, and regional security challenges.
