Chair of GPB Board of Trustees praises GPB team for outstanding organisation, raising benchmarks for future Eurovisions
“Junior Eurovision 2025 has concluded. Naturally, first and foremost, we must congratulate our supremely talented golden Anita, who represented Georgia with distinction on the world stage,” writes Vasil Maghlapheridze, Chairman of the Georgian Public Broadcaster’s Board of Trustees, on social media.
According to Maghlapheridze, the team of professionals who qualified Anita for this success also deserve great praise, and it is thanks to them that Georgia is a persistent favourite at Junior Eurovision.
“It must be emphasised that the entire organising team not only acquitted themselves superbly but set an example for European countries by delivering this most complex event, raising the bar even higher for future Eurovisions.
Georgian managers, directors, producers, and technical staff demonstrated the highest professionalism, proving that Georgia is capable of hosting and delivering grandiose events.
Eurovision is an immensely complex show broadcast live to 180 countries and watched by over 70 million people. Every detail, every movement, must be timed to the second. Our sincere thanks go to the team from the Ministry of Culture, who managed this project from start to finish with unwavering resolve and contagious calm.
Finally, I would like to extend my special thanks to the Director General of the Public Broadcaster, Tinatin Berdzenishvili, and to every member of staff who, through their professionalism, tireless effort, and sleepless nights, made a significant contribution to the successful realisation of this project and presented Georgia with dignity to the entire world,” writes Vasil Maghlapheridze.
