Georgian Central Election Commission (CEC) released information on the registration of political parties for the 2024 parliamentary elections.

According to the CEC, the parliamentary elections will be held on October 26, 2024. The following parties, registered for the 2020 elections, meet the Election Code requirements and have elected members in the supreme legislative body: 1. Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia, 2. Lelo For Georgia, 3. New Political Center -Girchi, 4. Aleko Elisashvili – Citizens, 5. European Georgia -Movement For Freedom, 6. Georgian Patriots’ Alliance, 7. Giorgi Vashadze -Strategy Aghmashenebeli, 8. Law and Justice, 9. United National Movement, 10. Georgian European democrats, 11. Georgian Republican Party, 12. Movement State for People, 13. Progress and Justice.

The above parties should apply to the CEC Chairman no later than the 57th day after the appointment of the election date. Other parties should submit the registration form from the National Public Registry and a list of supporters with at least 25,000 signatures.
