CEC Chair briefs OSCE PA delegation on preparations for October 26 elections
The Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Giorgi Kalandarishvili, briefed members of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) delegation on the preparations for the upcoming October 26 parliamentary elections in Georgia.
According to the CEC’s press service, Kalandarishvili provided detailed information on the activities and projects undertaken by the election administration, as well as the challenges it faces. He emphasized that the administration is fully prepared to conduct the elections in line with international and European standards.
The October 26 elections will be monitored by observation missions from the OSCE PA, NATO PA, the Council of Europe, and the European Parliament. These missions will coordinate closely with the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR).
