Catholicos-Patriarch's Easter Epistle
Catholicos-Patriarch's Easter Epistle

The Easter epistle of Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II, says that “sadly, many people in our society, motivated by the desire to take care of the country, engage in categorical thinking and aggressive speech, resulting in sharp polarization.”

As mentioned in the epistle, “people do not realize how dangerous it is to treat the word in such a way.”

“Unfortunately, a part of modern society is in this situation and views freedom as a right to everything, which is categorically unacceptable for a believer.

A right to everything is established by ignoring morals and losing sight of its true meaning; with the full modification and distortion of its core; this is why everyone talks about freedom, love, and human dignity, but it now has a radically different meaning.”

The Georgian Orthodox Church celebrates the Easter holiday today.
