Catholicos-Patriarch meets US Congressional delegation

The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II today hosted the US Congressional delegation, the Georgian Patriarchate’s press service reported.

The deepening of the US-Georgia cooperation, the issue of Georgia’s territorial integrity, and the peaceful settlement of the conflict were in focus, the press statement read.

The US lawmakers pledged to inform relevant US agencies of the problems and concerns raised at today’s meeting. The Congressmen added that they would spare no effort to develop and deepen the Georgian-American friendship.

The delegation includes lawmakers Alexander Mooney (R-WV), Bryan Steil (R-WI), Kelly Armstrong (R-ND), Carol Miller (R-WV), and Ronald Estes (R-KS).
