‘I am an irrepressible optimist. We should boost the dialogue on election system between Gov’t and opposition,’ Carl Hartzell, an ambassador of the European Union to Georgia told reporters.

I am an irrepressible optimist and as a mediator, it is our role to promote dialogue between the sides.

I said that the discussion was not easy at the third meeting between the government and the opposition parties yesterday.

But first and foremost, we have a commitment from both sides to continue the dialogue,’ Carl Hartzell stated.

The third meeting between the government of Georgia and the opposition parties was held at Sheraton Grand Tbilisi Metechi Palace on December 15.

Foreign diplomats were participating in the meeting as well.

The first two meetings were held on November 30 and December 8.
