German Bundestag affirms its support for Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine “on their European path,” German Embassy in Georgia reports.
According to the Embassy, the Bundestag approved a resolution on April 28, 2022, supporting the German federal government in providing comprehensive assistance to Ukraine, including sending heavy weapons to the country.
“In this context, the Bundestag reaffirms its support for Ukraine, Moldova, and Georgia on their European path, underscoring that observing criteria under Article 49 of the European Union Treaty is a prerequisite for EU membership,” the Embassy said in a statement.
