Border Police detain four foreign nationals for illicit border crossing into Georgia
Border Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have detained four foreign nationals, identified as M.I., born in 1995; J.A., born in 2001; A.M., born in 1998; and Z.R., born in 1998, at the Sadakhlo border crossing of the Tsiteli Khidi Division for their illegal entry into Georgia as a group.
The Georgian Border Police issued a statement confirming the details.
According to their investigation, the suspects unlawfully crossed the Georgian border as a group from the Republic of Armenia into Georgia, bypassing the official border crossing.
“The investigation is ongoing under Article 344, Part 2, Subparagraph A of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which prescribes imprisonment for up to five years,” the Georgian Border Police stated.
