“The success of your party will guarantee stability in the South Caucasus region, and as a brotherly nation and friend, we are delighted with your achievements,” stated President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during a joint press conference with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, following their face-to-face meeting.
According to President Aliyev, the primary topics of discussion during the meeting were connectivity and the Middle Corridor project.
“Our countries enjoy close cooperation and a strong partnership. Our collaboration is ongoing, and relevant agencies are in regular contact. I am confident that this project will yield successful results. Naturally, it is essential to maintain close communication with other neighbouring countries, which encompasses a broad geography.
Azerbaijan and Georgia are poised to serve as a bridge between Europe and Asia, and we are effectively implementing this vision. I am aware that our transport infrastructure is expanding, and digitalization is also advancing in both Azerbaijan and Georgia, ultimately benefiting our nations. As partners, we can offer valuable services to other countries.
We have achieved significant milestones, which we will discuss in greater detail later. I would like to reiterate that the success of your party will ensure stability in the South Caucasus region, and we are thrilled with your accomplishments as a brotherly nation and a friend. I wish you continued success in the future,” remarked President Aliyev.
