Azerbaijani PM: Georgia-Azerbaijan strategic partnership reaches new level
In a keynote address at the 10th Georgia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov emphasized that developing relations with Georgia is one of Azerbaijan’s top foreign policy priorities.
According to Ali Asadov, the Georgia-Azerbaijan strategic partnership comprises all significant spheres and a wide legal base of approximately 140 documents.
“There is an active political dialogue between our countries. We support each other within international organizations and stand together in difficult times. This tradition continues. I would highlight the support for the issue of territorial integrity and our economic and trade relations, which are always significant.
Georgia is one of the key trade partners of Azerbaijan, though our trade turnover slightly reduced last year. But I hope this is temporary. We should take steps towards increasing economic potential, and this will be the topic of attention,” Ali Asadov said.
