Armenian President begins official visit to Georgia

The President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, has commenced an official visit to Georgia.

According to the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Armenian President was greeted upon arrival at Tbilisi International Airport by Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, the Head of the Presidential Administration, Ketevan Kvinikadze, and the Georgian Ambassador to Armenia, Giorgi Sharvashidze.

Maka Botchorishvili welcomed President Khachaturyan, expressing gratitude for his visit and wishing it to be productive.

During his stay, the Armenian President is being hosted by Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili. The programme includes meetings with Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.

The Foreign Ministry also announced that President Khachaturyan will pay his respects by laying a wreath at the Memorial to the Heroes Who Died for the Unity of Georgia.

This marks Vahagn Khachaturyan’s second official visit to Georgia.
