Armenian PM briefs PM Irakli Kobakhidze on Washington talks

The Office of the Armenian Prime Minister reports that Nikol Pashinyan spoke with Irakli Kobakhidze by phone, updating him on recent discussions in Washington.

“Nikol Pashinyan briefed his Georgian counterpart on the outcomes of the August 8 talks in Washington, including the Agreement on Establishment of Peace and Inter-State Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the joint appeal to the OSCE on dissolving the Minsk Group, regional communication unblocking based on territorial integrity and mutual consent, and the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, or TRIPP’s initiative,” the statement reads.

Pashinyan expressed gratitude to Kobakhidze for publicly supporting the Washington agreements.

The Prime Ministers also discussed bilateral and regional issues, emphasising that peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan could foster new opportunities across the South Caucasus.
