Armenia ready to start teaching Georgian in some schools

“This year we are ready to start teaching Georgian language in some schools in Armenia,” Armenian Education Minister, Vahram Dumanyan, announced at a press briefing Thursday.

But the Georgian language courses, according to him, will not be mandatory. “It is not only about the schools located in the [Georgian] border regions of the republic,” Dumanyan said.

The minister added the details would be provided later.
