The President of the Parliamentary Assembly of La Francophonie (APF), Francis Drouin, on Thursday, awarded Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili the prestigious Ordre de la Pléiade and a diploma.
According to the government’s press office, the meeting covered Parliamentary relations and the Assembly’s role in the development of democracy and the protection of human rights.
The Ordre de la Pléiade is an internationally-recognized award bestowed upon individuals who have made a great contribution to the French-speaking communities and upheld the ideals of La Francophonie, promoting the role of the French language in their own countries or in the world.
