Anti-Namakhvani protests in regions

Anti-Namakhvani HPP protest relocated from Gumati village to Kutaisi city. The police did not allow protesters to move in direction of Namakhvani village.

Protesters blocked Chavchavadze Avenue in Kutaisi. Solidarity protests were held in Poti, Telavi, Zugdidi, Ruisi and Bstumi.

Opponents of Namakhvani HPP construction have been rallying for over 5 months. They are concerned that HPP construction could harm the environment.
