Anti-Namakhvani HPP protest continues in the village of Gumati, near the western Georgian city of Kutaisi, on Sunday.
The rally participants call on the government to meet their demands.
The protesters say they are preparing for a large-scale rally in the Georgian capital Tbilisi scheduled for May 23.
The police are still deployed in the village, blocking the road to Namakhvani village with an iron wall.
Earlier, the Georgian government announced that the construction of the Namakhvani hydropower plant (HPP) in the Imereti region would be suspended for 9 to 12 months until the environmental, geological, and seismological surveys are reviewed.
Nevertheless, local protesters plan to continue rallies against the HPP construction. They believe the HPP would be constructed anyway, which they oppose.
