The implemented reforms and success you achieved are impressive – stated Anders Samuelsen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Denmark at today’s meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili.

According to Anders Samuelsen, Georgia is a very important partner of the Kingdom of Denmark and Denmark will always support this country.

According to the press service of the Georgian government administration, the sides talked about the new strategy of Danish Neighborhood Program (DANEP) for 2017-2021, within the program 27 million EUROs will be allocated for Georgia. Georgia’s support program mainly consists of two thematic directions – human rights and democratic development; Promote and strengthen sustainable inclusive economic growth.

Georgia’s Prime Minister thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark for the supportive program and assisting country’s Euro-Atlantic agenda.

During the meeting, the focus was on further deepening trade-economic relations, Georgia’s investment environment and the country’s leading positions in international ratings.

The sides also discussed the current situation in the region and the situation on the occupied territories of Georgia. The Danish Foreign Minister positively assessed the efforts of the Georgian authorities in the direction of peaceful settlement of the conflict and reiterated firm support of the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The Prime Minister thanked the Danish side for the involvement in the activities of EU Monitoring Mission.
