Ambassadors of UK, US, Netherlands and Australia observing elections in Shida Kartli
Ambassadors of the UK, US, Netherlands and Australia accredited in Georgia are observing the election process in Shida Kartli region of Georgia.
The foreign diplomats arrived at polling stations and expressed hope that activeness would be high in the elections.
“We are glad to be here on this important and wonderful day. I and my colleagues are observing the elections with great interest. . . . We are sure that elections will be held in a peaceful and free environment. All elections are important,” Justin McKenzie Smith, UK Ambassador to Georgia stated at the 10th polling station in Gori town.
The 2018 presidential elections are being held in Georgia today. The Georgian population is electing the 5th president with the 6-year-term.
