Aliyev: Black Sea submarine electricity cable implemenetation successful

“The agreement for the development of the Black Sea strategic submarine electricity cable is being successfully implemented,” said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev as he addressed the Shusha Global Media Forum on “New Media in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution

According to Aliyev, research work has already kicked off and the presentation will be held in September or October, adding that the first 20,040-megawatt solar power plant will open by the end of this year.

On 17 December, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Hungary, and Romania signed the agreement for the development of the 1,100-kilometer-long Black Sea strategic submarine electricity cable aimed at transporting energy from Azerbaijan to the European Union through Georgia.
