Air movement between Georgia and Turkey to be suspended

The air movement between Georgia and Turkey will be suspended stating today in connection with the restrictions imposed in connection with prevention measures of spread of the novel coronavirus.

Cancellation of direct flights between Georgia and Turkey was initially planned from March 14 as Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

Restrictions are already functioning at the land border, namely Sarphi checkpoint where movement of physical persons is banned. Individuals can use Vale and Kartsakhi checkpoints for entry. The restrictions do not refer to cargo turnover.
