Ahali’s Nika Gvaramia granted 30,000-GEL bail as preventive measure in sabotage case; passport and ID confiscated
The Tbilisi City Court has decided to grant Nika Gvaramia, one of the leaders of the Ahali party, bail of 30,000 GEL as a preventive measure in the sabotage case.
Additionally, the court ordered the confiscation of Gvaramia’s passport and ID card.
For context, Giorgi Vashadze and Zurab Japaridze have already been granted bail of 30,000 GEL each, while Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze have been ordered to pay a bail of one million GEL each as a preventive measure in the same case.
As a reminder, the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has initiated criminal proceedings against Mikheil Saakashvili, Giorgi Vashadze, Nika Gvaramia, Nikanor Melia, Zurab Japaridze, Elene Khoshtaria, Mamuka Khazaradze, and Badri Japaridze on charges of sabotage, aiding and abetting a foreign country in hostile activities, financing activities aimed against Georgia’s constitutional order and national security, and inciting the violent overthrow of Georgia’s constitutional order or government.
