Adjara government to support 256 families affected by fire and natural disasters
More than three million GEL will be allocated from the reserve fund of the Adjara budget to restore and rehabilitate the homes of 256 families impacted by recent fires and natural disasters.
The matter of assisting these families was discussed at a session of the Joint Governmental Commission for the Relief of Damage Caused by Natural Disasters within Adjara’s administrative borders. The session was chaired by Nino Nizharadze, Minister of Health and Social Protection of Ajara.
Following the commission’s recommendations, families in Batumi, Kobuleti, Khelvachauri, Keda, Shuakhevi, and Khulo will receive financial support.
Supporting families affected by natural disasters, as well as eco-migrants, remains a top priority for the Adjara government. In 2025, up to 8 million GEL was allocated from the government’s reserve fund to assist 704 families affected by various calamities.
