Additional AstraZeneca vaccines to be imported on April 30, mid May
Additional AstraZeneca Covid vaccines will be imported in Georgia on April 30 and in middle of May. They will be used for immunization of those, who received the first jab, said Amiran Gamkrelidze, Head of the National Center for Diseases Control and Public Health (NCDC).
Gamkrelidze said that the remaining stores of AstraZeneca jabs would be used before. Their validity expires on May 31, but there was demand on this vaccine.
Gamkrelidze said immunization had to expand in the country. He also informed that persons aged 18 and above would be vaccinated with Sinopharm and Pfizer vaccines. Booking Sinopharm vaccine would be possible from April 27.
