13,000 internally displaced families receive new housing until 2025, PM says 

Up to 13,000 internally displaced families will receive new housing until 2025, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili announced on Monday.

About 2,400 displaced families will receive apartments in Tbilisi, followed by Zugdidi – 1,700 families and Kutaisi – 720 families, the PM stated at today’s Cabinet meeting.

Within the Internally Displaced Person (IDP) Resettlement Program, 7,000 families will receive apartments in new buildings, while the remaining 6,000 in rural areas.

“It is our obligation to offer decent conditions to IDPs,” Garibashvili stated.
