“We expect that the Georgian Dream will make a step toward the Georgian people, European Union and our strategic partners,” said Khatia Dekanoidze, a member of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) party, in connection with the second visit of Christian Danielsson, a special envoy of the European Council President.
According to Dekanoidze, the opposition talks about the issues which will end polarization in Georgia. These issues include supremacy of law, stop of political persecution and early elections.
Christian Danielsson, a special envoy of the European Council President Charles Michel for the Georgian political crisis, will return to Georgia to continue mediation in the talks between the GD party and the opposition.
The EU mediator first arrived in Georgia on March 12 and stayed in the country for one week. The negotiations with his mediation ended with no promising results.
