Results of 258 precinct election commissions recounted, CEC Spokesperson says
On the recommendation of the CEC Chairperson, the results of 258 precinct election commissions have been recounted, CEC Spokesperson Natia Ioseliani said on Sunday.
Data from 239 polling stations remained unchanged, accounting for 66.7%, while data from 121 polling stations changed slightly. Individual candidates gained or lost votes slightly, but it did not affect the overall result.
As of today, the results of 812 precinct election commissions have been recounted, Ioseliani added.
Georgia’s 2021 local elections were held on October 2. The runoff is scheduled for October 30.
