President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili will start her official visit to Azerbaijan tomorrow, February 27.

Within the frameworks of the visit, President Zurabishvili will meet with the President, Prime Minister and Parliament’s Speaker of Azerbaijan.

Zurab Pataradze, Ambassador of Georgia to Azerbaijan, said that the visit of the President of Georgia will enhance the Georgia-Azerbaijan relationship. He said that Azerbaijan is a strategic partner and friend of Georgia.

“Our political relations, as well as economic, trade, cultural and humanitarian relations are developing dynamically. It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan is Georgia’s most important trading partner, it is planned to implement new projects and strengthen investment policy. All these important issues will be discussed by the President and the Azerbaijani side,” Ambassador of Georgia said.

Within the frameworks of her official visit to Azerbaijan, President Zurabishvili will meet with Georgian students, with successful representatives of a business sector and the Georgian Diaspora.

The President of Georgia will also visit municipalities of Azerbaijan, including Kakhi, Zakatala and Belakan – where ethnic Georgians are living.

The visit of the President of Georgia to Azerbaijan will end on February 28.
