Due to the increase in coronavirus cases, Paris and Marseilles have been declared high-risk zones, reported BBC.

The French government introduced restrictions on the movement of people and vehicles in the two cities, along with restrictions on public transport, air travel and limited access to restaurants and other businesses.

Wearing a face mask is mandatory in Paris and Marseille.

As of August 14, the number of coronavirus cases has reached 209 000.
