Georgian gov't to cover repatriation expenses of Shanae Brooke Edwards to Australia 

The Georgian government will cover the repatriation expenses of Shanae Brooke Edwards, an Australian citizen who was killed in Tbilisi, to Australia, the government’s press service reported on Friday.

Georgian Interior Ministry arrested a Georgian citizen R.M. (DoB 1988) for murdering Shanae Brooke Edwards on September 8.

The body of an Australian woman, 31, was found dead on July 31 in Mtatsminda park in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi.

The Ministry is probing into the case under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisaging imprisonment for 7 to 15 years.
