Georgia reports 1,398 coronavirus cases, 1,164 recoveries, 11 deaths

Georgia reported 1,398 coronavirus cases, 1,164 recoveries, and 11 deaths on Thursday, the official figures show.

Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 813 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 115 cases, and the Kvemo Kartli region with 94 cases.

A total of 30,867 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 16,167 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14,700 were PCR tests.

The daily test-positivity rate stands at 4,53 %, while 4,21 % in the past 14 days.

Georgia’s total case tally reached 382,734, among them, 362,491 people recovered and 5,503 died.

There are 55 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 3,838 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,065 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.

As of July 15, 324,802 people got the coronavirus vaccine.
