The natural disaster hit Mestia district of Svaneti region. Due to heavy rain the part of mountain in Chuberi collapsed which caused flooding of a River Nenskra. Chuberi village and several other settlements are remaining cut off from rest of the world.
The river overflowed its riverbank, four bridges and two houses were swept away, the surrounding area and the center of Chuberi have been flooded.
According to the Emergency Management Service, all relevant services are mobilized on the ground and the disaster elimination works are underway.
