MP Zviad Kvachantiradze has left the parliamentary majority and the Georgian Dream faction.
According to Mamuka Mdinaradze, Chairman of the faction, they have received Zviad Kvachantiradze’s application and will respond to it at the next sitting of the Parliamentary Bureau.
According to Mdinaradze, Kvachantiradze will have to resign as the Chairperson of the Committee on Diaspora and Caucasus Issues, since he had been nominated for the post by the majority.
“Zviad Kvachantiradze named the anti-constitutional law, which was not supported by the majority, as a motive for his decision,” Mdinaradze said.
