Zelensky's statement aligns with freedom strategy of our countries, MP Dekanoidze says

Khatia Dekanoidze, an opposition member of parliament, has expressed her agreement with President Zelensky’s statement, emphasizing its alignment with the freedom-focused strategy of their respective countries.

In Dekanoidze’s view, following Russia’s defeat, Georgia will finally achieve unity, and the government’s pro-Russian stance will cease to exist.

“The defeat of Russia means that Russian expansion would not be based on the conquest of neighbouring countries. I am sure that after Russia’s defeat, the power of the government that leaned towards Russia will be ended in Georgia.

In 2008, Georgia had to protect its territories at a great cost. Now it is Ukrainians who face a similar challenge. Russia’s defeat will result in a complete transformation of this doctrine, and everyone should support Ukraine in its quest for victory,” Dekanoidze said.

President Zelensky stated that “Ukraine’s victory will potentially facilitate the process of restoring territorial integrity in Georgia and Moldova,” adding that military solutions would not be necessary to achieve these goals.
