World Bank raises Georgia’s 2026 economic growth forecast to 7%

The World Bank has raised its forecast for Georgia’s economic growth in 2026 from 5% to 7%.

The information was published in the World Bank’s Europe and Central Asia Economic Update.

The international financial institution also revised its economic growth forecasts for other countries in the region. According to the updated figures, Georgia has the highest projected growth rate in the region and recorded the largest upward revision to its forecast.

Compared with the previous forecast, the updated economic growth projections for the region are as follows:

Georgia — 7%, up 2 percentage points;
Armenia — 6.3%, up 0.3 percentage points;
Azerbaijan — 1.2%, down 0.8 percentage points;
Kazakhstan — 4.6%, unchanged;
Türkiye — 2.8%, unchanged;
Ukraine — 1.2%, unchanged;
Russian Federation — 0.8%, unchanged.
