Georgia national team head coach Willy Sagnol spoke about preparations for the team’s June friendlies during a press conference at Mikheil Meskhi Arena.

Sagnol confirmed that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will join the national team camp and feature in the upcoming match against Bahrain.

“After the Champions League semifinal against Bayern, we spoke and he told me that he wanted to be with the national team. At that time, we were discussing the match against Bahrain. Now I can confirm that Khvicha will arrive and will play on June 5.

Many players are missing, which is normal at the end of the season. We will try to ensure that as many footballers as possible get playing time. The main objective is to be fully prepared for the matches in September.

Since Guram Kashia will be playing his last game for Georgia, I hope we will perform well in these matches,” he stated.

The Georgian national team will play two friendly matches: against Romania on June 2 and against Bahrain on June 5. Both matches will be held at Mikheil Meskhi Arena in Tbilisi and will be broadcast live by Georgian Public Broadcaster First Channel.
