We will heal common wound through our unwavering peace policy, Parliament Speaker says

Our country has gone through a great deal of turbulence, said Speaker of Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, on the 30th anniversary of the Abkhazian war.

According to Papuashvili, a war 30 years ago deprived hundreds of thousands of our fellow citizens of their homes.

“The war claimed the lives of many soldiers or civilians. We will honour their memory. We will heal the common wound through our unwavering peace policy with our Abkhaz sisters and brothers. Together we will continue to build a strong, European state. We are one big family, and no one can change this history,” Shalva Papuashvili wrote on Facebook.
