We support Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, State Minister says

“We strongly support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine,” said Tea Akhvlediani, Georgian State Minister for Reconciliation and Civic Equality.

The minister noted that a similar scenario happened in Georgia in 2008.

“We have witnessed yet another gross violation of fundamental principles of international law in Ukraine by the occupation regime. A similar scenario happened in Georgia in 2008. Russia’s military intervention in the Tskhinvali region led to the recognition of the Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions.

We strongly support Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders and hope that the international community will respond strictly and appropriately,” Tea Akhvlediani said.
