Warm, mostly dry weather expected on June 16–17, rain on June 18

Georgia’s National Environment Agency has released its weather forecast for the coming days, predicting warm and mostly dry conditions on June 16-17, while rain and possible hail are expected in some areas on June 18.

In Tbilisi, brief showers accompanied by thunderstorms are expected during the evening and nighttime hours. Daytime temperatures will range between +29°C and +31°C.

In Georgia’s coastal regions, including Batumi, Kobuleti, Anaklia and Poti, warm and dry weather is forecast for June 16-17, followed by rain on June 18. Daytime temperatures will reach +27°C to +29°C.

The lowland areas of western Georgia, including Zestafoni, Kutaisi, Samtredia, Zugdidi, Martvili and Ozurgeti, are expected to experience warm and dry weather through June 17, with rain forecast for June 18. Temperatures will range from +29°C to +31°C during the day.

Mountainous regions of western Georgia, such as Ambrolauri, Oni, Tsageri, Shovi, Chiatura, Sachkhere, Khulo and the Rikoti Pass, will also see warm and dry weather before rainfall arrives on June 18. Daytime temperatures are expected to be between +27°C and +29°C.

In the high mountainous areas of western Georgia, including Mestia and Bakhmaro, warm and dry conditions are forecast for June 16-17, with rain expected on June 18. Temperatures will range from +24°C to +26°C.

In Kartli, including Rustavi, Bolnisi, Marneuli, Gardabani, Gori and Tskhinvali, brief showers and thunderstorms are possible, with hail expected in some locations. Daytime temperatures will range from +28°C to +30°C.

Similar weather conditions are forecast for Kakheti, including Sagarejo, Telavi, Gurjaani, Sighnaghi, Lagodekhi, Kvareli, Akhmeta and Dedoplistskaro, where brief rain, thunderstorms and possible hail are expected. Temperatures will range between +28°C and +30°C.

Eastern Georgia’s mountainous regions, including Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Dusheti, Tianeti and Pasanauri, may also experience brief rain and thunderstorms, with a possibility of hail. Daytime temperatures are expected to be between +27°C and +29°C.

In the high mountainous areas of eastern Georgia, such as Akhalkalaki, Tsalka, Bakuriani, Gudauri and Omalo, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in some places, with daytime temperatures ranging from +20°C to +22°C.
