Zurab Chkhaidze, the director of Vivamedi Clinic, says that Mzia Amaglobeli’s health condition is currently stable after being admitted to the clinic.
“She has been admitted and is receiving inpatient treatment. Her condition is stable at this stage,” Chkhaidze told the GPB First Channel.
The Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association (GYLA) reported that Amaglobeli was transferred to the clinic today for necessary medical tests.
Mzia Amaglobeli, founder and director of the media outlets Batumelebi and Netgazeti, has been on a hunger strike for 24 days at Rustavi Prison. The Batumi City Court ordered her imprisonment as a preventive measure on January 14, following her arrest on January 12 under Article 353 of the Criminal Code, which pertains to the assault of a police officer.
