Georgian Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Davit Songhulashvili visited the Vintage Coordination Facility in Gurjaani town of the eastern Kakheti region.

During the grape harvest season, the facility will coordinate the process, provide relevant information to winegrowers and wine producers, and ensure the prompt resolution of harvest-related issues. The facility will operate on a 24-hour basis so that no harvest is left unattended.

At the decision of the Georgian government, Harvest Management Company LLC will purchase grapes harvested in the Kakheti region from individuals at established prices.

The price for undamaged Saperavi grapes with a sugar content of at least 21% is set at 1.50 GEL, whereas for substandard Saperavi, where the sugar content is between 17% and 21% and/or the grapes are partially damaged, the price will be 0.90 GEL. The price for damaged Saperavi and/or Saperavi with a sugar content of less than 17% is set at 0.30 GEL.
